Bill and Dian Taylor of Winnetka met recently with freshman Ariel Zimmerlein of La Moille and sophomore Kyle Burrows of Princeton, two of the 10 recipients of the William and Dian Taylor Scholarship, at the annual Illinois Valley Community College Foundation Scholarship Recognition Reception. The $2,000 awards go annually to five first-year and five second-year students. Other 2009 Taylor winners include sophomores Cassandra Cox of Streator, Christine Jaegle of Oglesby, Ashley Maltas of Ottawa, Cindy Run Jin You of Princeton and freshmen Casey Benckendorf of Manville, Jereme Lamps of La Salle, Ashley Schwingle of La Moille and Logan Zinke of Mendota. Bill Taylor is a native of La Salle and the former Dian Lechner is a native of Lostant. The Taylors are both IVCC graduates.
