Medical center awards financial assistance to students

The OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center Auxiliary Educational Assistance Program for Healthcare Careers is announcing recipients for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Assistance ranged from $3,500 to $5,000 per student and was provided to students who plan to return to OSF St. James for their health care careers upon graduation. The Auxiliary raised funds for this program through gift shop sales and various events throughout the year, and the Auxiliary wishes to thank the community and OSF employees for their continued support.

Recipients include: Megan Anderson, Odell, Heartland Community College in radiology; Diana DeVault, Pontiac, Heartland Community College in nursing; Nikki Folk, Forrest, Eureka College in nursing; Kimberly Goldman, Pontiac, Heartland Community College in nursing; William Masching, Odell, Triton College in nuclear medicine technology; Emily Stamm, Pontiac, Illinois State University in clinical laboratory science; Morgan Tharp, Cullom, Lake Land College in physical therapy assistant; and Brooke Weir, Flanagan, Heartland Community College in nursing.
