Streator
  • Windows were broke on a truck and property was stolen from the truck in the 900 block of East Main Street. The report was received Friday morning.
  • A power tool was stolen from a job site in the 600 block of East Broadway Street. Report came in Friday morning.
  • Several people were cited at noon Friday at Streator Township High School on complaints of truancy. They were: Karri A. Vaughn, 17, 112 Water St.; James A. Kearfott, 17, 1906 Cavanaugh Road; and Adam X. Snyder, 18, 209 E. Grove St., as well as three 16-year-olds. A 12-year-old also was cited at Northlawn School.
  • Michael S. Magana, 22, 503 Montgomery St., was arrested at 12:58 p.m. Friday at Everett and Main streets on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while license suspended. He was taken to the county jail.
  • Johnne H. Eichorn, 43, 1309 E. Broadway St., was cited at 2:36 p.m. Friday on West Main Street on a complaint of driving 50 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone.
  • A dealer's plate was stolen from a vehicle in the Kroger parking lot. The report was made Friday afternoon. The plate number was 3585G DL.
  • Randall S. Gross, 26, 1217 E. 12th Road, rural Streator, was arrested at 1:44 p.m. Thursday after his parole agent brought him to the police station on a La Salle County warrant. Gross was taken to the county jail. He was in prison for burglary.
  • A lawn mower was stolen from a garage in the 500 block of East Broadway Street. The report came in Thursday afternoon.
  • A woman reported her purse was stolen Wednesday night at Carbo's, 402 E. Main St.
  • Property was stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of East Elm Street. The report came in Thursday afternoon.
  • A 13-year-old boy was cited at 9:34 a.m. Thursday at Northlawn Junior High School on a complaint of disorderly conduct.
  • Billie Jo Bednar, 31, 707 Lundy St., was cited on a complaint of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, after a crash at 4:49 p.m. Friday at Park and Main streets. The other driver was James P. Hart, 34, Streator. There were no injuries.
  • Ivan L. Landery, 27, 116 Marion St., Joliet, was arrested at 8:26 p.m. Friday on Route 23 in front of RP Lumber on Will County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of trespass to land.
Ottawa
  • Amy J. Vrtis, 20, 3 Wood Duck Lane, was arrested Wednesday at Center and State streets on complaints of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was released on bond.
  • Sandra Ramirez, 24, Ottawa, was arrested Thursday in the Walgreen parking lot on a complaint of driving while license suspended. She posted bond.
  • John A. Cook, 23, 2205 Ottawa Ave., was arrested Thursday at Columbus Street and Norris Drive on complaints of resisting police, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, speeding and failure to signal. He posted bond.
  • Francisco A. Velez, 33, 825 W. Washington St., was arrested Saturday at Kohl's distribution center on a complaint of theft. He was released with a court date.
  • John J. Krolak, 31, Romeoville, was arrested Saturday at 606 E. McKinley Road on complaints of battery and damage to property. He was taken to the county jail.
  • Brandon N. Cox, 23, Streator, was arrested Saturday adjacent to Kroger South on complaints of driving while license suspended and expired registration. He posted bond.
  • William L. Kelm, 35, 498 N. 2612nd Road, rural Oglesby, was arrested Sunday at 101 W. Main St. on a complaint of damage to property. He posted bond.
  • Ann M. Totora, 38, 1710 Poplar St., was arrested Sunday at 2100 Somerset Drive on complaints of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage, transportation of open alcohol and improper lane usage. She posted bond.

Marseilles
  • Tonya Thomas, 35, Marseilles, was arrested Saturday in the post office alley on warrants.
  • Westley V. Mitchell, 28, Marseilles, was arrested Friday at Casey's on a complaint of theft.
La Salle County
  • Esteban A. Gutierrez, 41, Ottawa, was arrested at 11:06 p.m. Friday on Route 23 about three miles south of Ottawa on complaints of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving 71 mph in a 45 mph zone and driving without a valid license. He was taken to the county jail.
  • William F. Tarkowski, 55, 1114 N. 38th Road, Ophir Township, was arrested at 11 p.m. Saturday near Triumph on complaints of driving under the influence and improper lane usage.
  • Orville E. Bradford, 75, 106 Thomas St., Ransom, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on North 17th Road near East 29th Road, about two miles northeast of Ransom, on complaints of driving under the influence, driving in the wrong lane, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was taken to the county jail.
