STARLIGHTERS UNIT, LA SALLE COUNTY ASSOCIATION HCE

Bette Meyer hosted the Nov. 16 meeting of the Starlighters Unit of La Salle County Home Community Education. A business meeting took place with Nancy Barnes giving the secretary and treasurer reports.

Members made 12 fleece blankets to give to the Red Stocking fund. On Oct. 26, members went shopping in the Oswego and Aurora area. On Nov. 5, members went to the La Salle County Nursing Home to play bingo. Treats and prizes were presented to residents. On Monday, Dec. 14, members will have a Christmas dinner at the Rockwell Inn.

Lesson of the month was "What's Organic Food?" presented by Meyer and Billie Hunt. The next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the home of Marge Hill.
