Nicole Snelling, 17, of Sandwich will compete for the title of Miss Illinois Teen USA 2010 from Friday, Nov. 20, to Sunday, Nov. 22, at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago.

Nicole is the daughter of Cheryl Sloan of Sandwich. She attends Sandwich High School, where her activities include Marching Indians, pep band, Renegade Regiment and the National Society of High School Scholars.

Upon graduation, Nicole plans to attend Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. The Miss Illinois Teen USA and Miss Illinois USA pageants are the official preliminaries to the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants and are a Donald J. Trump and NBC Universal joint venture. The contestant chosen as Miss Illinois Teen USA 2010 will go on to represent Illinois in the National 2010 Miss Teen USA pageant and spend her year as a teen ambassador.
