STREATOR - Charles R. Entwistle, 26, 204 S. Fourth St., was arrested Monday at 100 S. Bloomington St. on complaints of possession of a controlled substance and failure to signal when required. He was taken to La Salle County Jail.
- Robert G. Smith, 41, 310 E. Jefferson St., Dana, was arrested Monday at Main and Illinois streets on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving while license suspended. He was taken to La Salle County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
OTTAWA - Shane M. Muncy, 36, 622 Pearl St., Apt. 9, was arrested Tuesday at 622 Court St. on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving while license suspended, on a Kendall County violation of bail bond and on a complaint of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). He was taken to La Salle County Jail.
- Lois Nawrocki, 65, 2361 Charles Court, was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop sign following a collision Tuesday at Columbus Street and Hillside Avenue with Jason Grieves, 32, Ottawa. Both drivers were taken to Ottawa Regional Hospital for treatment.
MARSEILLES - Kerry Allen, 58, Marseilles, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia Tuesday at Commercial Street. Allen was issued a notice to appear.
LA SALLE COUNTY - Karl H. Hachmuth, 23, Ottawa, collided with a deer Tuesday while driving on County Highway 30 near East 2425th Road in Brookfield Township. He was not injured.
SANDWICH - Andrew Mitchell, 18, 725 Tyler Road, Plano, was arrested Nov. 1 on West Church Street at Gletty Road on a complaint of driving under the influence of alcohol. Police found Mitchell sleeping at the wheel of his vehicle with the engine running and the vehicle in gear in the middle of the intersection. He posted bond and was released.
FIRE CALLS - Ottawa firefighters responded to an activated alarm at 906 Canal St. at 8:11 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, they found the occupant had removed the cover and battery from the smoke alarm. There was no fire. The alarm was reset.
