Valley West Community Hospital recently visited the students at James R. Wood Elementary School in Somonauk to educate them on the importance of proper hand washing.
Print this storyPre-kindergarten students through those in fourth grade were taught how to properly wash their hands, when it is necessary to wash their hands and how to protect themselves and others from spreading germs. All students participated in the "Henry the Hand Washing Program," where they rubbed a lotion on their hands and then utilized techniques they learned to properly wash their hands. Students then placed hands under "Henry," whose special light illuminates any lotion that was not washed off. |
