MARSEILLES NURSING SERVICE

The November board meeting was at the nursing service office with six board and two staff members. Jackie Johnson, board president, conducted the meeting. Becky Tabor, office manager, reported on the finances for September and Carol Craig read the nurse"s narrative.

During October, 85 patients were seen in their homes or the office. There were 60 non-nursing walk-in visits to the office, 11 pieces of medical equipment loaned, two pieces returned and six pieces donated. Medical gloves also were donated.

Donations were received from PCS Potash, Chi Psi Beta Sigma Phi and American Legion Auxiliary as a memorial for Midge Pasquinelli.

The Rotary Club of Marseilles is nearing the end of its annual door-to-door campaign for the Marseilles Nursing Service. Donations also may be dropped off at the nursing service office if your neighborhood has not been solicited.

A meeting took place at the American Legion in Marseilles with representatives from the nursing service, Marseilles Elementary School Booster Club and Legion in attendance. Results of the October fundraiser were reviewed and suggestions heard to improve future events.

The Lions Club of Marseilles will host a Vegas Night Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Lions Club to benefit the Marseilles Nursing Service. Admission is $10 and bagna caulda, chili and fried pollock will be served.

The next free blood pressure clinic is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Main Street office. Blood glucose screenings are available for $1. Clinics are always on the first Wednesday of every month. The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 14, at 9 a.m.
