OTTAWA
  • Trevor C. Schwarz, 17, 720 Chestnut St., was arrested Monday in the 200 block of East Main Street on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant for a drug paraphernalia charge. He was taken to county jail.
  • A 16-year-old male was cited Monday in the 200 block of East Main Street on a complaint of truancy. He was given a notice to appear and was released.
MARSEILLES
  • Audra E. Lieske, 22, and Matthew G. Wantroba, 22, were each cited Monday at Tolin and Pearl streets on a charge of damage to property. They were given a notices to appear in court and were released.
LIVINGSTONCOUNTY
  • Jackilyn N. Rush, 18, of Streator was arrested Monday on complaints of consumption of alcohol by a minor and resisting or obstructing a police officer in Streator. She was taken to Livingston County Jail. Bond was set at $1,000.
STREATOR
  • Rebecca J. Stewart, 30, 527 W. Frech St., and Justin J. Wonders. 28, 206 Washington St., were arrested Sunday at 12:26 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 1600 block of North Bloomington Street. Stewart was arrested on a complaint of driving on a revoked or suspended license and Wonders was arrested on a complaint of possession of a controlled substance.
  • It was reported Sunday that stereo equipment was taken from a vehicle sometime that day while it was parked in the 600 block of Adams Street.
  • Workers at Kroger's Gas Station, 2399 N. Bloomington St., reported a theft of $27 in fuel when a driver left without paying Sunday afternoon.
  • Adam Snyder, 18, 1423 S. Cleveland St., was arrested Sunday after a complaint from Streator Drugs, 109 E. Main St., for retail theft, resisting or obstructing a police officer, and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
FIRECALLS
  • Ottawa firefighters responded to an activated carbon monoxide detector alarm at 5:38 p.m. at 1406 Birch Lawn. Using their meters, firefighters found unusually high levels of carbon monoxide in the living room and the kitchen and soon traced the leak to a stove. Gas was shut off to the appliance and the occupant was told to contact repair services.
  • Ottawa firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alert at 11:30 a.m. Monday in an apartment at 604 E. McKinley Road. Firefighters notified Nicor Gas of the problem and the resident was told not to return to the apartment until after the company completed a check of all rooms.
