Charges, including one of child endangerment, against a Sheridan man were dropped Friday in La Salle County Circuit Court.

Brian P. Carlsen, 35, was arrested Oct. 2 and charged with child endangerment, domestic battery and reckless conduct. Police said Carlsen pushed his 3-year-old son to the ground, causing the child to lose consciousness. The child did not apparently suffer permanent injuries.

At a court hearing Friday, the state's attorney's office dropped the charges. Carlsen was represented by Assistant Public Defender John Fisher.
