The La Salle County Health Department has tentatively scheduled three H1N1 clinics.
Print this storyThe clinics are 2 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, Ottawa Knights of Columbus, 401 W. Main St.; 2 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, Streator Knights of Columbus, 806 Oakley Ave.; and 2 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Mendota Civic Center, 1901 Tim Merwin Drive. The clinics are walk-in only and no appointment is necessary. The clinics are open to all county residents, regardless of where they live. The clinics are based on vaccine availability and will be postponed and rescheduled if the health department does not have the vaccine. People who may receive the vaccine at these clinics are those meeting the criteria for high risk as mandated by the Center for Disease Control. CDC priority groups include pregnant women, anyone who cares for children younger than 6 months of age, young people between the age of 6 months and 24 years of age, people younger than 64 years of age with chronic medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes or heart disease and health care workers.
