Exelon Nuclear"s La Salle County Generating Station in Marseilles has planned a community information night Monday.
Print this storyThe event is a one-on-one forum with the public, designed to inform and update residents on current events at the station and nuclear energy issues. The event is open to the public and will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seneca High School, 307 E. Scott St. Exelon representatives, technical experts and officials from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will be on hand to provide information on nuclear energy topics including plant operations, spent fuel storage, safety, security, the environment and community outreach efforts. There will be take-away information, and food and refreshments will be served. "Exelon Nuclear strives to be a good neighbor," said Dave Wozniak, site vice president, in a press release. "This forum will provide local residents the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about La Salle Station and nuclear energy." |
