SCHEERER

Penelope Grace, daughter of John Scheerer and Angela Ishee of Frankfort, was baptized Oct. 25 at St. Paul"s Lutheran Church, rural Tonica, by the Rev. Roger Helgren. Sponsors were aunt, Christine Scheerer of San Francisco, and uncle, Mark Scheerer of Oceanside, Calif. Penelope"s brother, Charlie, also participated in the ceremony. Twenty-six immediate family members gathered afterwards at the home of Oscar and Margie VandeWyngaerde for a luncheon. Grandparents are the VandeWyngaerdes of Oglesby, Carl and Suzanne Ishee of Streator and Dr. Philip and Alice Scheerer of Phoenix. Penelope is the great-granddaughter of the late Kermit and Florence Freeman of Tonica.
