FARM RIDGE UNIT OF HOME AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Print this storyThe Farm Ridge Unit of Home and Community Education met Oct. 16 at Chipper's in Streator. Verena Pike of Ottawa was hostess. The secretary called roll, including, "What did we do on the rainy and sunless days?" The secretary and treasurer reports were read and approved. Coins for friendship were collected and all collections for the year were due Nov. 2. A revised list of residents at Heritage Manor was distributed for the year. The Make It Blanket workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at United Methodist Church in Grand Ridge. The county units met at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 3 for the international lesson on Argentina at the CES office in Ottawa. Gert Milam gave the lesson, "Are you in your right mind?" The topic enhanced self-awareness by explaining how we think and process information. The next meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Chipper's. Irene Graham of Grand Ridge will be hostess. |
