Streator - Brandon Louis Compton, 22, homeless, was arrested Friday at 700 Lundy St. on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of battery.
- A resident reported Friday that someone used her Social Security number to purchase cell phones.
- Two Dwight residents were arrested Thursday following a traffic stop in the 900 block of East Main Street. Nicole P. Watts, 24, 304 N. Union St., was arrested on complaints of resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, possession of marijuana (less than 2.5 grams), illegal transportation of alcohol and aggravated assault. Caprecio D. Patterson, 31, 104 1/2 Franklin, was arrested on complaints of resisting arrest and obstructing a peace officer. Both posted bond and were released.
- A resident reported her vehicle was keyed on Thursday while parked in the 700 block of East Broadway Street.
La Salle County - Erik B. Lucas, 34, 252 Paine St., Elgin, was cited near East 29th and North 3350th roads for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding (86 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone).
- Christopher J. Coley, 22, 316 S. Sterling St., Streator, was cited on Route 23 near North 20th Road for speeding (75 mph in a 55-mph zone).
- Michelle L. Matthews, 40, 210 Shipyard Road, Seneca, was cited near East 29th and North 35th roads for speeding (84 mph in a 55-mph zone).
- Kelly G. Hicks, 46, 105 S. Front St., Sublette, was cited near East 29th and North 37th roads for speeding (93 mph in a 55-mph zone).
- Two men were arrested at the same location — Park and Grant streets in Streator — after a traffic stop involving two separate vehicles. Ralph E. Reed, 35, 811 N. Park St., Streator, was arrested for driving under the influence, speeding and driving with one headlight. Jason S. Yuhas, 34, was arrested for driving under the influence, improper lane usage and failure to signal. Both men were taken to La Salle County Jail, where they posted bond and were released.
Sandwich - Brooke L. Casner, 23, 291 S. Hugh St., Plano, was arrested Friday on a Livingston County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of contempt of court. She posted bond and was released.
- Alejandro Cadena, 21, 902 S. Hugh St., Plano, was cited Saturday for driving without a valid license and disobeying a traffic control device. A passenger in the vehicle, Daniel Aceves, 25, 318 Superior St., Aurora, was cited for possession of marijuana (less than 2.5 grams). Both men posted bond and were released.
Fire Calls - Streator firefighters responded Friday to an illegal burn at 103 E. LaRue St. The fire was extinguished and a warning was issued.
- Ottawa firefighters responded Saturday to an odor investigation call at 309 View St. Upon arrival, responders found an electrical odor which originated from a blown breaker.
- Ottawa firefighters responded Sunday to a call that someone was trapped in an elevator. Upon arrival, responders found the elevator stuck between the first and second floor. No one was inside.
- Streator firefighters responded Sunday to an illegal burn at 411 W. Grant St. The resident was burning leaves and the fire was put out.
