Katie Brodzik of La Salle, Caitlin Rinker of Grand Ridge and Brad Cockrel of Ottawa have been elected to the Illinois Valley Community College Student Government Association following freshman elections.

Brodzik was elected freshman representative and Rinker and Cockrel to the freshman programming board. A total of 223 votes were cast.

"For a freshman election, 223 votes represents a good turnout," said Cory Tomasson, student activities coordinator. "We have an active SGA again this year and we are confident these three individuals will help us accomplish our goals and represent students well."
