8/40 SALON 753

8/40 Salon No. 753 met Oct. 1 at Benchwarmer's Pub in Fairbury. Following lunch, Chapeau Thelma Rhodes, Gibson City, called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by 12 people, September minutes and the treasurer's report were read and approved. The Sunshine collection was taken and dues and fines were paid.

After some discussion, it was decided the hostesses at each meeting would make a contribution to the nurses' scholarship fund instead of giving hostess gifts.

The next meeting will be at noon Thursday, Nov. 5, at the restaurant in Chatsworth. The meeting will be at the Legion Hall. The LeChapeau Departmental, Ruth Elzinga, Evergreen Park, plans to attend the meeting. Miriam Jackson and Luci Haberkorn will be hostesses.

Hostesses for the October meeting were Gen Willman and Vida Schierer, Metamora. The Fall Pouvoir will be Friday, Oct. 23, to Sunday, Oct. 25. Several partners may attend. Margaret Woltzen, Long Point, attended the meeting.
