Streator - Tracy E. Entiwistle, 36, 487 E. Route 71, Oglesby, was cited Monday at 600 N. Bloomington St. for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding in a school zone (31 mph in a 20-mph zone). She was issued a notice to appear.
Ottawa - Javier J. Esparza, 19, 1717 Pine St., was arrested Monday in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge. He was taken to La Salle County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
La Salle County - Two Marseilles women sustained injuries following a single-vehicle accident Monday at North 2553rd Road and East 2450th Road in Brookfield Township, south of Marseilles. The driver, Sabrina E. Terrell, 22, 446 Chicago St., was eastbound on North 2553rd Road when she lost control of her 1998 Toyota Corolla, leaving the roadway, entering the ditch and striking a tree. She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove by helicopter. Her passenger, Audra E. Lieske, 22, 904 Clark St., was taken by Marseilles emergency medical personnel to Ottawa Regional Hospital. No tickets were issued.
State Police - Richard K. Carlson, 35, Ottawa, was arrested Sunday on East Third Road at North 38th Road on complaints of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on the shoulder and no rear license plate light. Carlson crashed his car at North 4050th Road and East Third Road, then left the scene. Police noticed a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. He refused a field sobriety test and breath testing.
