An Earlville man is set for a court date next month on an animal cruelty charge.
Print this storyNathan R. Farley, 1119 Greenbrier Road, was charged Thursday with having shot to death a neighbor's cat about 2:20 a.m. Sept. 1. The 26-year-old Farley allegedly used a .177-caliber BB handgun powered by a carbon dioxide cartridge. Earlville police handled the case. Farley posted $100 bond and is set for his first court hearing Wednesday, Oct. 21, before Circuit Judge H. Chris Ryan Jr. The charge is punishable by as long as 364 days in the county jail, as long as two years of probation and as much as a $1,000 fine. |
