Ottawa - Jeffrey H. Smith, 45, 1106 W. Lafayette St., was arrested Friday in the 900 block of Canal Street on a complaint of criminal trespass to state-supported property. He was given a notice to appear.
Streator - An employee of Jaenicke's Drive-In, 2322 N. Bloomington St., reported a forced entry into the business. An investigation is pending.
- John P. Connor, 38, 410 State St., Rutland, and Terrence L. Oelschlager, 50, 326 W. Livingston Road, were in a two-vehicle accident Friday at 2200 N. Bloomington St. Connor was cited for no valid drivers license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
- Landscape items were reported stolen Friday in the 200 block of West Stanton St.
- A window was reported damaged Friday in the 300 block of Sherman Street.
La Salle County - Belinda J. Kuk, of Ottawa, and Shaun McCague, 24, of Ottawa, were both stopped Friday on Route 71 near East 23rd Road in Rutland Township. Kuk was cited for speeding, 78 mph in a 55-mph zone, and operation of an uninsured vehicle. McCague was cited for speeding, 78 mph in a 55-mph zone. Both were released with court dates.
- David Moreno, 39, of Streator, was arrested Friday on Rosemont and Oakley Avenue on complaints of driving under the influence, driving with an alcohol concentration of .08 or more, improper lane useage, driving while license suspended and no rear registration plate light. Moreno was taken to La Salle County Jail.
- Jonathan Peters, 20, of Ottawa, struck a coyote Thursday on East 15th Road a half mile north of Interstate 80 in Wallace Township. The strike caused damage to his vehicle; however, he was uninjured.
