Ottawa - Troy A. Carmon, 41, La Salle, was cited Friday morning at Stevenson Road and Route 23 on complaints of driving without a license, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol.
La Salle County - Leslie C. Defenbaugh, 59, 29758 N. 800 East Road, Manville, was arrested at 2:09 a.m. Thursday at Iowa Avenue and Kent Street on complaints of driving a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol, driving in the wrong lane and disobeying a stop sign. He posted bond.
- John R. Mackey, 17, Grand Ridge, was cited at 6:20 p.m. Thursday on the Grand Ridge Blacktop three miles east of Grand Ridge on a complaint of driving 78 mph in a 55-mph zone.
- Cassie L. Lockhart, 20, Grand Ridge, was cited at 6:36 p.m. Thursday on the Grand Ridge Blacktop three miles east of Grand Ridge on a complaint of driving 80 mph in a 55-mph zone.
- A two-vehicle crash occurred at 6:03 a.m. Wednesday at U.S. 52 and County Highway 3 in Mission Township a few miles north of Norway. Kory J. Elleby, 39, Yorkville, was going south and did not see the eastbound vehicle of James M. Pagoria, 48, Ottawa. Sheridan Ambulance took both drivers to Ottawa Regional Hospital. Elleby was cited on a complaint of failure to yield and Pagoria on a complaint of no insurance.
Fire Calls - Streator firefighters went at 12:08 p.m. Thursday to 1106 N. Bloomington St., for a carbon monoxide alarm. They found the detector was faulty.
- Streator firefighters went at 8:01 p.m. Thursday to 208 Seventh St., where garbage was burning in a yard. They put out the fire.
- Ottawa firefighters went at 5:20 p.m. Thursday to Fox High-Rise, 906 Canal St., where burnt food set off an alarm.
