Ottawa
  • Robert F. Tanner, 28, 136 Deleon St., was arrested at his home Friday on a warrant for parole violation. He was taken to La Salle County Jail.
  • Heather E. Salley, 34, of Oglesby, was arrested Friday at the Wal-Mart parking lot on complaints of driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol over .08 (.247). She posted bond and was released.
  • Gabrielle A. Nash, 19,. 1411 Navajo Drive, was arrested Saturday at First Avenue and East Glover Street on complaints of driving while license suspended and no insurance. She posted bond and was released.
  • Max D. Boswell, 40, 811 W. Joliet St., was arrested Saturday at his residence on a complaint of domestic battery. He was taken to La Salle County Jail.


La Salle County
  • Steven G. Stillwell, 24, 2280 E. U.S. 52, Serena, was arrested Thursday on a complaint of criminal trespass to state supported property. Stillwell broke a windshield and damaged the hood of a vehicle belonging to James R. Vahl, of the same address. Stillwell was taken to La Salle County Jail.
  • Ronald R. Cunz, 120 W. Pleasant St., Sandwich, was involved in a car-deer accident Thursday on East 2351st Road new North 4425th Road in Northville Township. No injuries were reported.
  • Dorii A. Barnes-Palmer, 49, 1552 E. 19th Road, Streator, was involved in a one-vehicle accident on North 15th Road at East 18th Road in Otter Creek Township. Barnes-Palmer swerved to miss an animal in the roadway, lost control of her vehicle and struck a guardrail. No injuries were reported.
  • Heather E. Salley, 34, 423 N. School Avenue, Oglesby, was arrested for reckless conduct on Interstate 80, three miles west of Ottawa. Salley was intoxicated, exited a vehicle and ran across four lanes of traffic, causing a vehicle to take evasive maneuvers, according to police. Salley was taken to La Salle County Jail.
  • Donald E. Wolfe, 47, 1637 W. Madison St., Ottawa, was arrested Saturday at Madison and Columbus streets in Ottawa on complaints of driving under the influence, misdemeanor driving under the influence with a BAC over .08 (.259), driving without lights when required, failure to wear a seat belt, driving with a revoked drivers license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was taken to La Salle County Jail.
  • Joshua J. Beyer, 31, 1023 Anne St., Sandwich, and Russell B. Beyer, 38, 13 Hickory Court, Yorkville, were arrested at Beyer's address Saturday. The brothers were fighting with each other when deputies arrived. While attempting to break up the fight, Joshua and Russell started to fight with deputies. Joshua was arrested on a complaint of obstructing and resisting a police officer. Russell was arrested on complaints of obstructing a peace officer, assault and resisting a peace officer. Both men were taken to La Salle County Jail.
  • Andrew J. Schmillen, 20, 1271 East 3rd Road, Lostant, was arrested at 225 Shawandasee, Tonica, on complaints consumption of alcohol by a minor and resisting a police officer. Deputies responded to the address for a report of an unwanted person causing a disturbance. He was taken to La Salle County Jail.

  • Frank T. Rysavy, 19, 306 Wilshire Drive, No. 2, was arrested Saturday at his home on a DeKalb County failure to appear warrant on a liquor charge. He was taken to DeKalb County Jail.
  • John J. Cusimano III, 30, 1019 E. Fifth St., was arrested Sunday at his residence on a complaint of aggravated domestic battery. He was taken to DeKalb County Jail.
  • Justin L. Aldini, 25, 113 W. 59th St., Hinsdale, was arrested Saturday during a traffic stop in the area of South County Line Road, west of Vale Street on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on an assault charge. He posted bond and was released.


State Police
  • Howard K. Gustafson, 59, of Sandwich, was arrested at 2 a.m. Sunday at Suzy Street and County Highway 3 on a complaint of driving under the influence. He left the roadway and struck a stone wall.
  • Aurora M. Valdez, 38, of Mendota, was arrested at 3:36 a.m. Sunday while northbound on Route 251 and North 37th Street on complaints of driving under the influence, no valid drivers license, improper lane usage, speeding, 87 mph in a 55-mph zone and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He posted his drivers license and was released.
  • Darrian P. Griffin, 32, of Ottawa, was arrested during a roadside safety check at 3:27 a.m. Saturday at Route 71 and U.S. 6 on complaints driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a BAC of .08 or more and no valid drivers license. He was taken to La Salle County Jail.
  • Sean A. Turner, 29, of Streator, was arrested during a roadside safety check at 12:22 a.m. Saturday at Route 71 and Route 6 on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant for driving while license suspended.


FireCalls
  • Ottawa firefighters responded to a stove fire at 4:08 p.m. Sunday at 706 Illinois Avenue. The stove was emitting a light smoke. Even though all the controls were off, the oven was operating. The resident was advised to call a repair company.
