Ottawa - Shannon M. Negray, 26, 1417 S. Monroe St., Streator, was arrested Wednesday at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 4041 Veterans Road, on a complaint of retail theft. She posted bond and was released.
- Rachel Mangers, 28, 1469 Pickwick St., was cited Wednesday for allowing her dog to run at large. She was issued a notice to appear.
- Brent Valdez, 30, 209 18th Ave., Naplate, was arrested Wednesday at Farm and Fleet on a complaint of felony retail theft. He was taken to La Salle County Jail.
- Juan Vazquez Galvan, 25, Streator, was cited Thursday at Superior and Clinton streets for driving without a valid license, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with license plates suspended. He posted bond and was released.
- Shannon Brown, 30, rural Ottawa, was arrested Thursday in the 600 block of Columbus Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of driving while license suspended. He also was cited for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with license plates suspended. He was taken to La Salle County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
- Caleb W. Gould, 18, 602 Seventh Ave., was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident on Thursday after he collided with a car driven by Daniel J. Sovero, 32, Ottawa, at the intersection of Norris Drive and Columbus Street.
Streator - A resident in the 200 block of Joyce Street reported Wednesday that someone tried to break into a shed overnight. The shed was damaged.
- An unsecured 24-inch mountain bike was reported stolen Wednesday from a residence in the 200 block of Joyce Street. The bike was valued at less than $300.
- Frank S. Gaydos, 17, 1008 Arthur St., was cited for disorderly conduct for his behavior at the scene of a two-vehicle accident Wednesday at Hickory and Wasson streets. The other driver was Laura J. Stroud, 43, Streator. No injuries were reported.
- A resident in the 1400 block of North Wasson Street reported Wednesday that someone attempted to break into the garage. The suspect ran toward the railroad tracks and a neighbor pursued him on foot but lost sight of him. The suspect is described as being a white male, 19 to 20 years old, medium build, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with the hood pulled up and camouflage pants.
- William J. King, 50, 209 Grove St., Streator, was cited Wednesday for speeding, 50 mph in a 30-mph zone, at 1004 W. Main St.
Marseilles - Michelle A. Buivis, 43, Marseilles, was arrested Thursday at 651 Third Ave. on complaints of aggravated battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. She was taken to La Salle County Jail.
- Joshua R. Webster, 24, Marseilles, was cited Thursday at 1315 E. Bluff St. for driving while license suspended, driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and damaging a traffic control device. He was issued a notice to appear.
La Salle County - Roland J. Hammer, 43, 11673 60th Ave., Evart, Mich., was cited for speeding, 78 mph in a 55-mph zone, on Route 170 at East 28th Road in Allen Township Tuesday.
- Cameron A. Denunzio, 17, 427 Ryall St., Marseilles, was cited for speeding, 89 mph in a 55-mph zone, on U.S. 6 near Route 71 in Rutland Township Tuesday.
- James M. Dauk, 26, 2603 Pearl St., Peru, was cited for speeding, 76 mph in a 55-mph zone, on East 29th Road at North 30th Road in Manlius Township Tuesday.
- Peter J. Plocar, 25, 346B Cassidy Court, Utica, was cited for driving while license suspended and having tinted windows on U.S. 6 at East 10th Road in Utica Township Tuesday.
- Andrew D. Harsted, 22, 100 E. Pleasant St., Ottawa, was cited for improper display of license plate, tinted windows and operating an uninsured motor vehicle on Route 71 at East 25th Road in Miller Township Wednesday.
- Gina L. Catalanello, 44, Oglesby, was involved in a one-vehicle accident on Route 351, east of East 488th Road, in La Salle Township Wednesday. She swerved to miss an animal in the roadway and struck the guardrail. She was not injured.
- Adam J. Noto, 27, 515 Church St., Sheridan, was cited for speeding, 91 mph in a 55-mph zone, on Route 71 at East 2153rd Road in Rutland Township Thursday.
- Dana R. Kiesling, 53, Sandwich, and Steven M. Langus, 59, Newark, were involved in a two-vehicle collision Thursday at North 4650th Road in Northville Township. Kiesling was cited for disobeying a traffic control device. No injuries were reported.
- Lauren D. Wiley, 22, was in a one-vehicle accident Thursday in Adams Township. She swerved to miss an animal in the roadway and lost control, rolling over once. She refused treatment from Somonauk ambulance personnel. No citations were issued.
Fire Calls - Streator firefighters responded to a call Thursday regarding a person stuck in an elevator at 609 N. Everett St. Upon arrival, the person had already been freed.
- Streator firefighters responded to a call at Owens-Illinois, 901 N. Shabbona St. Thursday. There was a small gas leak in a furnace. Firefighters stood by as Owens personnel handled the leak.
