Print this storyThe 71st annual Cusac family reunion was July 25 at the City Park in Wenona. There were 64 descendants of the Charles and Louisa (Smith) Cusac family and five guests in attendance. Mary Lou Cusac of Rutland offered the prayer before the potluck dinner, followed by socializing and playing ball. President Terry Cusac of Pekin conducted the business meeting. Mary Lou read the secretary and treasurer reports. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cusac of Douglas, Ga., came the farthest, Bob Cox of Lisle was oldest man and Mary Clampitt of Wenona was oldest woman. The youngest boy was Cole Cox of Green Valley, Mo., and youngest girl was Hailey Baker of Wenona.Three marriages, one birth and two deaths were reported. Those attending came from Douglas, Ga., Lisle, Lombard, Bollingbrook, Pekin, Green Valley, Mo., Topeka, Normal, Pontiac, Roanoke, Minonk, Magnolia, Toluca, Rutland and Wenona. Officers for 2010 are Terry Cusac of Pekin, president, and Mary Lou Cusac of Rutland and Chad Cusac of Normal, secretary and treasurer. Next year's reunion will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at the City Park or St. Mary's Hall in Wenona. Each member will be notified by phone or e-mail. |
