LUCKEY

More than 115 people attended the Percy and Lucy Luckey reunion July 5 at Wenona City Park.

"Down on the Farm" was the theme with "Old McDonald Had a Farm" sung, led by Lindsey Studnick. Each family joined in singing when their appointed animal was featured.

A potluck lunch was served and the children enjoyed tractor rides provided by Beth and Don Dunlap, while family members socialized. Straw bales, clothesline with hanging clothes, corn, bean and tomato crops, milk cans, tractors, farm animals and fruit jars decorated the reunion.

Traveling the farthest was Steve and Debbie Luckey of Toney, Ala. The youngest was Hayden Studnicki of Normal and oldest was Mick Vargovchik of Streator. Prizes were awarded to John Redfern, Julie Moore, Jessica Defenbaugh and Michele Diaz.

Don and Kathryn Luckey and their children were in charge of the reunion. The next reunion will be in 2012 hosted by Chuck and Joni Luckey and Lil and Lon Goluba.
