A Naplate man, on parole, found that driving illegally in the rain without his headlights was enough to send him to prison.

Michael R. McGravey, 28, 209 18th Ave., entered into a guilty plea agreement with county prosecutors Friday that he violated the terms of his probation on March 31 after he was cited by La Salle police for driving on a revoked license without headlights during a rainstorm.

He was on probation for a 2008 charge of aggravated criminal sexual assault, a Class 4 felony.

Judge H. Chris Ryan Jr. sentenced McGravey to two years in the Department of Corrections and one year of mandatory supervised release. Fines and costs were waived and he was credited for the 135 days he previously served for the original offense in the La Salle County Jail.
