Ottawa - Two men were arrested Saturday on complaints of burglarizing a vehicle at 1700 Wake Drive. Antwaun Dante Bell, 20, 5409 S. Carpenter Ave., Chicago, and Quentin M. Wilson, 23, 504 Utica Drive, were taken to the county jail.
- John W. Sharp, 54, homeless, was cited Saturday on the riverwalk for trespass to property. He was released with a notice to appear in court.
- Stephen M. Engel, 29, 1024 Poplar St, was cited Sunday at East Norris Drive and Paul Street for driving on a suspended license. He was released on a personal bond.
- Joseph C. Orozco, 27, 820 Hudson St., was cited at Cherie Lane and Beverly Way for driving on a suspended license. He was released after posting a $100 bond.
- Christopher J. Snyder, 23, 921 Wright St., La Salle, struck a woman in a wheelchair in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Snyder was driving parallel to the wheelchair operated by Patricia A. Dillard, 46, 226 E. Fremont St., when he turned in front of her and "broadsided" her wheelchair. She was not injured. Snyder was cited for driving without insurance. The 1996 Ford van he was driving belongs to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.
Streator - Charlie N. King, 30, 349 Crockett St., Oglesby, was cited Saturday at 501 West Frech St. for driving on a suspended license. He was released on a personal bond.
- Ashley A. Harlacher, 19, 1502 Union St., was cited Saturday at 12th and Arthur streets for unlawful consumption of alcohol after being involved in an accident. She was released with a notice to appear in court.
Sheridan - Marcus R. Shamblin, 19, Somonauk, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. June 23 on complaints of speeding, no valid driver's license, reckless driving and attempting to elude a police officer. Police attempted to stop the vehicle for traveling 50 mph in a 30-mph zone at Robinson and Park streets when Shamblin allegedly attempted to flee in the vehicle, and also stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road and backed up toward the police squad car. Shamblin later pulled over on 3853rd Road. He was released after posting $300 cash bond.
La Salle County - Beatriz Leon, 33, Omaha, Neb., reported striking a deer Saturday on Interstate 80 east of Route 23.
- After a brief pursuit and struggle with a deputy, Daniel M. Perkins, 41, 632 East Ninth St., Peru, was arrested Saturday west of Tonica and taken to the county jail. Perkins was cited with improper lane usage, driving on a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, speeding 90 mph in a 55-mph zone, failure to signal, driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and attempting to elude police, resisting arrest and aggravated battery. Perkins wrestled with and bit a deputy, who was treated and released from Ottawa Regional Hospital.
- Leo W. Smith, 25, 406 Oak St., Cedar Point, was arrested Saturday at Cedar Point Park on a complaint of disorderly conduct after he shoved a boy, 12, into a crowd. Smith also was determined to be wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a deceptive practice charge. He was taken to the county jail.
- Nicole M. Cline, 30, 802 Terrace Way, Plano, was arrested Sunday for battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property in the parking lot of the High Heels Saloon in Somonauk. Cline punched the owner of the establishment in the face and damaged a gate. She was taken to the county jail.
- A 13-year-old was cited Sunday for several traffic violations for operating an all-terrain vehicle in Dayton Township on East 2153rd Road near North 3462nd Road.
- Six adults and six 16-year-olds were cited Sunday for trespassing on the Lone Star property on North 23rd Road in the Bailey Falls area. The adults were Michael S. Leatherman, 17, 2295 Washington St., La Salle; Kadeem J. Burgess, 18, 326 Gooding St., La Salle; Cody W. Jannie, 19, 7341 East 2350th Road, Kewanee; Cody A. VanDamme, 19, 701 East Tremont St., Kewanee; Jessica L. Borelli, 17, 715 Seventh St., La Salle; and Michael D. Gadd, 18, Oglesby.
