Ottawa - Dondi L. Vetter, 38, 1030 1/2 Post St., Ottawa, was arrested Monday on a complaint of retail theft at Chuck's Shell, 1441 Columbus St. He was taken to county jail.
- Four girls were cited Monday in the 100 block of First Street on complaints of unlawful possession of fireworks. All were released with court dates.
- Edward Bailey, 48, 807 W. Joliet St., was arrested on a complaint of disorderly conduct Monday at Wal-Mart. He posted $100 bond.
- Mark Bailey, 37, Midway, Arkansas was arrested Monday at Wal-Mart on a complaint of disorderly conduct. He posted $100 bond.
- The following were cited Tuesday on Etna Road near Emerald Drive on a complaint each of consumption of alcohol by a minor: Matthew McBee, 18, 300 Deleon St.; Robert Grady, 19, 1301 W. Jackson St.; Rebecca Dichele, 18, 808 W. LaFayette St.; Dale Talty, 19, 108 Prairie St.; and Kylie Wilhelm, 20, 300 Deleon St. McBee also was arrested on complaints of driving while license revoked and improper lane usage. All were given court dates.
Streator - Randi R. Poole, 28, 203 N. Chicago St., Magnolia, was arrested at 3:21 a.m. Sunday on West Main Street on complaints of aggravated assault and resisting police. She posted $100 bond.
La Salle County - Robert J. Surrock, 40 and Zachary T. Surrock, 19, both of 1413 E. Morrell St. and Ryan M. Alderson, 19, 812 Johnson St., all Streator, were cited at 5:29 p.m. Monday near North 23rd and East 675th roads in Vermillion Township on a complaint each of trespass. A deputy said they opened a gate and entered a property marked with no trespassing signs, to fish.
- John R. Zenner, 19, 3494 E. 2089th Road, Wedron, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. Monday on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of damage to property, as well as on complaints of improper use of registration, no insurance and no valid vehicle registration. Jody M. Antich, 18, 2187 N. 4659th Road, rural Leland, was also arrested on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of deceptive practice. They were taken to the La Salle County Jail.
- Dena L. Schorn, 31, 1712 E. First Road, Hope Township, was arrested at 12:19 a.m. Tuesday on complaints of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a traffic control device. The arrest occurred after Schorn's vehicle missed a stop sign and went into a field at North 1851st and East Third Roads in Eden Township near Tonica. She was taken to the county jail.
- Wayne A. Wormley, 27, rural Serena, reported his car hit a deer at 10:10 p.m. Monday on East 2351st Road near North Fourth Road in Northville Township. He was not hurt.
Livingston County - Bruce E. Wright, 57, Streator, was arrested Monday at Cleveland and 12th streets in Streator on complaints of driving under the influence and driving while license suspended. Wright was taken to the Livingston County Jail in Pontiac.
Sandwich - Luis D. Nicolas, 19, 303 E. Crofoot St., was arrested at 2:31 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of East Hall Street on complaints of driving under the influence and seven other traffic citations. Police said they found Nicolas' vehicle on its side next to a bus barn and searched for the driver, finding Nicolas. The vehicle had minor damage and was towed. Nicolas posted $300 bond.
- Joshua N. Leland, 31, 238 Haller Ave., Romeoville, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. on a complaint of driving under the influence. He posted bond.
Fire Calls - Streator firefighters went at 6:34 p.m. Monday to McDonald's, 1602 N. Bloomington St., where a car's engine had overheated, causing a small fire. The fire was out upon arrival of firefighters.
- Streator firefighters went at 5:36 p.m. Monday to Bloomington and Grant streets where two vehicles had crashed. A drivers door on one vehicle had to be forced open to allow the occupant to exit.
- Streator firefighters went at 3:55 p.m. Monday to Fornof Manor, 606 E. Morrell St., where burnt food had set off an alarm.
- Ottawa firefighters responded to an accidentally activated phone-in alarm at 11:19 p.m. Monday inside the Kohl's warehouse, 4300 MBL Road. They were met by Kohl's security and told the alarm was mistakenly triggered by maintenance personnel.
- A construction crew set off a fire alarm inside Shanley's TV & Appliance Center, 515 W Main St., at 2:15 p.m. Monday while relocating it within the building.
- Ottawa firefighters responded to a faulty alarm at 11:02 a.m. Monday inside Ottawa Township High School. School staff reset the alarm.
