The township recently bought a little more than one acre next to Deer Park School on which to build a three-bay garage and township office. The township paid $12,000 for the property that now is a farm field.

Township Clerk Diane Bergagna said construction should begin as soon as zoning is adjusted and a county building permit obtained. She added money already is in hand for the project and will not lead to a tax increase.
