Police blotter 11-8-19

Ottawa

Dylan D. Duffield, 23, Ottawa, was arrested Thursday at Post Street and East Norris Drive on complaints of DUI, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol, disobeying a traffic device, no insurance and retail theft. Duffield was released with a court date.

La Salle County

Gia M. Vidito, 18, Leland, and a girl passenger, were treated at Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital in Sandwich following a single-vehicle crash 9:29 p.m. Wednesday at 2432 N. 46th Road in Northville Township. No citations were issued.

Michael D. Wright, 52, Peru, was arrested 7:51 p.m. Thursday at his residence on the 1100 block of Pike Street on a La Salle County warrant for a charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Wright was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Jamie J. Christman, 23, La Salle, was arrested 11:37 p.m. Thursday at his residence on the 900 block of Tonti Street on a La Salle County warrant for a probation violation. Christman was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Fire calls

Ottawa and Wallace firefighters responded at 5:05 p.m. Thursday to 3003 Route 71 for a report of a possible grain bin fire. A homeowner was working on their plumbing when they reported hearing a sizzling sound and thought it was a fire. It turned out to be a broken pipe. The water was turned off by the homeowner.

Streator firefighters responded at 1:38 p.m. Thursday to 710 Oakley Ave. for a possible CO leak, but nothing was found.
