OTTAWA — The Marquette Lady Crusaders beat the Somonauk Lady Bobcats in straight games, 25-9, 25-10 in a nonconference volleyball match Tuesday night at Bader Gym.
Aubrey McCallum pounded out seven kills and Ellie Eager a half dozen to pace the Marquette attack. Grace Jeanblanc and Ellen Wheatland added four kills apiece. Emma Thomas fingerpushed 19 assists. Addie McConnaughhay came up with five digs to lead the defense.
For Somonauk (1-5-2), Katy Tripp had two blocks, an ace and two digs.
Earlville def. Lowpoint-Washburn 25-12, 25-19
At Earlville, the Raiders (7-3) beat the Wildcats in straight games in a nonconference match.
Jadyn Pickert pounded out four kills and Brynn Guelde a trio to pace the Earlville attack. Meg Harness and Emma Benson served up four aces apiece. Benson passed for 10 assists as well, and came up with five digs to lead the defense.
Sandwich def. Rochelle 25-21, 21-25, 25-18
At Sandwich, the Lady Indians (7-6, 1-1) defeated the Lady Hubs in three sets in an Interstate Eight Conference match.
Hannah Zieman, Sophia Datoli and Audrey Rome all pounded out seven kills to lead the Sandwich attack. Ava Knepper recorded 31 assists. Olive Tornga came up with 16 digs to pace the defense.
Flanagan-Cornell def. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 25-15, 25-21
At Flanagan, Regan Reed (five kills, two aces) and Kayla VanWeelden (three kills, two aces, six digs) led F-C (8-3-1, 1-0) to the Heart of Illinois Conference-opening win in straight games over GCMS. Kortney Harms registered seven assists.

At Edgebrook Golf Course in Sandwich, the Pirates beat the Indians in an Interstate Eight Conference dual meet.
Kadon Harth carded a 39 to earn medalist honors and lead Ottawa. He was followed by TJ McDonnell (41), Caden Ericzon (43) and Nick Angus (45).
Sandwich's top four scorers were Aidan Sullivan (53), Elliott Underhile (57), Sam Dawson (59) and Michael Barbey (62).
Coal City 189, Streator 191
At Cinder Ridge Golf Course in Wilmington, the Bulldogs were edged by the Coalers in an Illinois Central Eight Conference dual meet.
Jacob Magana carded a 42 to earn medalist honors for Streator. Rounding out the Bulldogs' top four scorers were Austin Fairall (46), Noah Colter (50) and Cooper Wahl (53).

At Nettle Creek Country Club in Morris, the Fighting Irish beat the Crusaders in a nonconference dual meet.
Brett Yegge carded a 39 to earn medalist honors and lead Seneca. Alex Stiegler, Rylee Stenzel and A.J. Stiegler all added 42s.

At Nettle Creek Country Club in Morris on Monday, the Bulldogs edged the Fighting Irish in a nonconference dual meet.
Brett Yegge carded a 42 to earn medalist honors for Seneca. Rounding out the Fighting Irish's top four scorers were Alex Stiegler (45), Holden Flynn (47) and Rylee Stenzel (47).

Posting singles wins for Ottawa were Sara Meyer at No. 1 (6-0, 6-0 over Sophie Menenga) and Mary Riva at No. 2 (6-1, 6-0 over Meagan Wargnski). Notching doubles victories were Regan O'Fallon and Ella Marvel at No. 1 (6-0, 6-0 over Cheyanne Phillips and Sophia Shaw), Marta Johnson and Rebekah Felty at No. 2 (7-5, 0-6, 6-3 over Kyla Kjellesvik and Grace Lines), and Mally Charbonneau and Emily Walker at No. 3 (6-1, 6-2 over Tessa Brummel and Libby Wright).

At Streator, the Lady Bulldogs were beaten by the Lady Indians in a dual meet.
Notching Streator's lone victory was the Berry sisters — Haley and Lora — at No. 1 doubles (6-2, 4-6, 10-6 over Sam Sipe and Ashley Branz).
Sandwich 1, Morris 1
At Morris, the Indians and Redskins played to a tie in an Interstate Eight Conference contest.
Adrian Mendoza scored the goal for Sandwich (4-4-1, 1-1-1). Sead Sejdiu made four saves in net.

The Streator Bulldogs competed in a four-team meet at Humiston Woods. Bulldog Rafael Pantoja won the race. Also scoring for Streator were Dalton Dean (fourth place), Joey Pawelczyk (sixth), Tre Bowman (seventh) and Coltin Mesarchik (11th).

Lady Bulldogs, Seaton runner-up in Pontiac
The Streator Lady Bulldogs were runner-up in a four-team meet at Humiston Woods. Lady Bulldog Abby Seaton was runner-up individually. Also scoring for Streator were Stepanie Mendoza (ninth place), Faith Mitts (11th), Skyler Schimek (13th) and Sara Reed (16th).

The La Salle-Peru Co-op was victorious over the Redskins and Lady Indians in a double-dual meet.
Double-individual winners for the L-P Co-op were the Heagy sisters — Ashley (200 medley, 500 freestyle) and Peyton (100 freestyle, 200 freestyle). Nicole Pocivasek (50 freestyle) and Paige Marks (100 breaststroke) won their respective events.
The Heagys and Pocivasek teamed up with Marks (200 medley) and Cora Walker (200 freestyle) to win relays.

Marquette 26, Seneca 14
Logan Nelson rushed for 100 yards and scored a touchdown to lead Marquette (2-0) to the win over Seneca on Monday night. Vinny Battistelli, Tom Durdan and Jurnee Reed all added a TD. Jack Olson had 55 yards rushing.
Defensively, Brady Ewers and Battistelli made six tackles apiece, while Primo Patelli recovered a fumble.
