La Salle County

Jacob Reimann, 26, Ottawa, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. Sunday at La Salle and Lafayette streets in Ottawa on a complaint of DUI and cited on a complaint for driving without lights when required. Reimann was released with a court date.

Fire calls

Ottawa firefighters responded at 9:20 p.m. Friday to 906 Canal St. for an alarm set off by cooking smoke.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 11:30 p.m. Friday to 400 W. Washington St. for an alarm set off by cooking smoke.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 1:35 a.m. Saturday to 801 Etna Road for an alarm. A worker turned off a valve in the sprinkler room which led to a water flow alarm.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 6:05 a.m. Sunday to 400 E. Washington St. for a fire alarm but no fire was detected.

Ottawa firefighters responded at 12:47 p.m. Sunday to 2518 Reynolds Manor Drive due to a comment from the public that an alarm was heard at 4 a.m. that morning. Firefighters discovered two smoke detectors from 2001 with expiring batteries. The occupant was advised to replace the detectors and also a carbon monoxide detector.

Streator firefighters responded at 8:59 p.m. Sunday to 609 N. Everett St. for a fire alarm set off by steam.
