The second installment of real estate taxes are due and payable on Thursday, Sept. 5
Illinois law requires a 1.5% per month delinquency penalty beginning the day after the due date, which is Friday, Sept. 6.
Tax bills can be paid to the La Salle County Treasuer's Office by credit card on lasallecountytreasurer.com.
They can also be made through an automatic withdrawal option from a checking or savings account or via check and given to most local banks and financial institutions or the treasuer's office via their 24-hour drop box in the east parking lot of the La Salle County Governmental Complex at 707 E. Etna Road or mailed to P.O. Box 1560, 707 E. Etna Road, Ottawa, IL, 61350.
