Instructor Kimberly Radek-Hall will discuss Anita Hill and Christine Blasey Ford, who both testified against Supreme Court Justice nominees as well as why women often do not report sexual assault and harassment.

“A PANOPLY OF PAPERS: FEMINIST FIGURES,” 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 27, Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby campus, Room CTC124. IVCC students present researched papers honoring feminists who improved women’s lives in constructive and often non-violent ways.

“ART AND POETRY APPRECIATION: REMEMBERING MARY OLIVER,” noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 29, Illinois Valley Community College, Oglesby campus, Room CTC124. IVCC faculty, SKD and River Currents members will read and discuss the works of their favorite female poets, especially the late Mary Oliver. Art and literature contest winners will be announced, prizes awarded and the winning art read or displayed.
