Police blotter 3-11-19

Ottawa

Jacob W. Steele, 36, Marseilles, was cited Friday at Route 71 and U.S. 6 on complaints of driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no seat belt. Steele was released on bond.

Jonathon E. Anthony, 25, homeless, was arrested Friday at Kroger, 301 E. McKinley Road, on a complaint of retail theft. Anthony was released and given a court date.

Streator

Streator police officers responded at 9 a.m. Sunday to the 1000 block of North Park Street for a report of someone driving through the yard and creating ruts.

Streator police officers responded at 8:36 p.m. Sunday to Park Presbyterian Church, 201 N. Vermillion St., for a report of theft.

La Salle County

La Salle County deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at 6:25 p.m. Sunday to North 24th Road and East 1025th Street. Brennan Marshall, 81, Oglesby, was westbound on North 24th Road and failed to stop at a stop sign. Marshall struck Benedict Lemrise, 67, Oglesby, who was southbound on East 1025th Road. Both drivers were treated and released by Grand Ridge emergency services. No citations were issued.

Darren M. Serna, 27, La Salle, was arrested 3:07 a.m. Saturday at North 4650th Road and East 29th Road in Northville Township for complaints of improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and DUI of drugs and alcohol. Serna was released with a court date.
