Illinois Valley Community College will host its Agriculture Spring Open House for all prospective students and parents from 8:45 a.m. to noon Friday, April 5, in Rooms CTC124-125.
Guests can interact with current students and faculty, hear an overview on the revitalized program, tour campus and participate in an activity in the ag lab. Enrollment, financial aid and scholarship information will be provided.
In two years, the program led by instructor Willard Mott has grown to more than 25 students taking at least one ag course, 10 new classes, two new ag degrees and five part-time instructors.
“Career opportunities in agriculture are wide-ranging; it’s a great time to get in on our rapidly growing program," Mott said.
Students are asked to register online by Friday, March 29, at ivcc.edu/agriculture or by contacting Mott at 815-224-0413 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
