La Salle County

Deputies investigated a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash at about 6 a.m. Thursday at 1459 Nova Road in Northville Township. Samuel Gray, 33, of Sandwich, was backing out of a driveway at 1478 Nova Road and backed into a parked vehicle owned by Jodi Holland, 43, of Sandwich. Gray then left the scene. Gray was cited on complaints of leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage and failure to report an accident to police. No injuries were reported. Gray was issued a notice to appear.

Streator

Police responded to a report of an accident at 1:46 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of North Shabbona Street.

DeKalb County

Richard D. Meyer, 78, of Somonauk, was arrested at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Green and DeKalb streets on complaints of DUI and no lights when required. Meyer was taken to the Sandwich Police Department and released on bond.

Fire calls

Streator firefighters responded at 10:37 a.m. Sunday to an alarm at 606 E. Morrell St.; it was determined to be a false alarm.

Streator firefighters responded at 2:03 p.m. Sunday to an alarm at 609 N. Everett St.; cooking activated the alarm.
