A student at Flanagan-Cornell High School was arrested after a disturbance this week at the school.
Andrew L. Kozak, 18, of Flanagan, was charged with aggravated battery and resisting police. Livingston County Sheriff Tony Childress said several fights broke out among students Tuesday, with Kozak pushing a teacher and then struggling with the school’s police officer when the officer tried to take him into custody.
Kozak was taken to the Livingston County Jail, where he was released after $500 cash was posted for bond. The public defender is representing him. Childress said Friday his office was still investigating.
Flanagan-Cornell High School is about 20 miles south of Streator.
