Starved Rock State Park appears as a clue on "Jeopardy!"

La Salle County residents watching the Friday, Jan. 11, episode of "Jeopardy!" may have done a double take at the mention of Starved Rock State Park as one of the clues.

In the category "The State of Nature," in which contestants had to respond with the home state of each location after given a photograph and a clue, host Alex Trebek read the $1,000 clue: "The ice falls of Starved Rock State Park west of Joliet." Contestant Sarah Ann, of San Diego, buzzed in and correctly said "What is Illinois?"

Ottawa's Prairie Fox Books shared a video clip of the clue Jan. 15 on Facebook, which was shared by several other pages.
