STREATOR — Marlene A. Scott, 81, of Streator, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, at her residence in Streator.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Park Presbyterian Church in Streator. The Rev. Caleb Suydam will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator. Additional visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Streator.
Pallbearers will be Mike, Cody, Mike Jr. and Bill Brown, Tim Myers and Dave Kupec.
Born Dec. 23, 1937, in Berwyn, she was the daughter of Floyd and Helen (Snavley) Teach. She married Dr. James Scott on Dec. 12, 1973. He preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1994.
She is survived by a son, James (Joy) Scott, of Porcia, Italy, stationed at Aviano Air Base with the United States Air Force; a grandson, Alex Scott, of Ottawa; stepgrandchildren, Vivienne Luangrath and Kodee Taong; and a special friend, Elmer Osterdock, of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Grace Teach.
She graduated from Streator High School and attended Northern Illinois University.
Through the years, she assisted her husband at his medical offices.
She was a member of Park Presbyterian Church and the church choir. She was also a member of Streator Elks Club and Streator Country Club.
She enjoyed playing tennis.
