OTTAWA — Barbara Jean Furlong, 89, of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Pleasant View.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
Barb was born April 6, 1929, in Ottawa, to William and Barbara (Welter) Curtin. She married Peter Furlong on Feb. 7, 1975, in San Antonio, Texas.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Altar & Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and La Salle County Retired Teachers.
She is survived by her brother, William Curtin; her sister-in-law, Rita Furlong; niece and nephew, Patti (Don) Harris and Mark (Jody) Furlong; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Elaine Curtin.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Furlong, Chris Harris, Aiden Harris, Alex Prior, Michael Humer and Robert Humer.
Memorials may be directed to Marquette Academy High School or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
