Hermosillo homers again for Salt Lake Bees

SACRAMENTO — The Salt Lake Bees scored only one run Tuesday night in the Los Angeles Angels' 7-1 defeat to the host Sacramento River Cats.

The good news, for local baseball fans at least, was that run came off the bat of Ottawan Michael Hermosillo.

Hermosillo — a 2013 Ottawa High School graduate and two-time Times Baseball Player of the Year — hit a solo home run in the fourth inning of the Bees-River Cats Triple-A Pacific Coast League game.

The homer is Hermosillo's sixth of the season. He is batting .252 this season with 19 RBIs, and over his last 10 games has smacked three homers, has 11 runs batted in and has stolen two bases.
