YOUTH SPORTS

Fans at Streator Youth Baseball's Major League Field have been enjoying a new scoreboard paid for entirely by donations from Midland States Bank and Deke Trucking.  Additional assistance was given by Vactor Manufacturing, which donated the beams for the scoreboard, and Ruff Brothers, which donated the use of equipment for the project. Also assisting on the project were Hatzer Concrete and Kelly Electric. In Ottawa Girls Fastpitch Association play, the Stars defeated the Blaze.

Kenn Motors 14, Ottawa Savings Bank 5

Hayley Ewers struck out eight, singled and doubled for the Mustangs, with Taylor Gammons and Blair Nevins each singling twice. Kalie Stanek had two hits for the Eagles.

SAT Construction 9, Danchris Nursery 6

Joe Hoekstra had three hits and both winning pitcher Isaac Fowler and Maddan McClockey had two hits each for SAT. Kamdyn Darrow had three hits and Jared Clark doubled for Danchris.

SAT Construction 8, Locker Room 5

Reece Pelnarsh and Aiden Wilkenson each provided two hits for the Locker Room. Zak Schubbe had two hita and the game-winning RBI for SAT, with Aiden Ferris providing two hits and the pitching victory.

Streator Cub

Vactor 0, Streator Firefighters 0

Kane Burton, Kolton Muntz and Remington Rinker stood out for Vactor in the double-shutout, with J.J. Rzasa, Jake Dippel and Fishcer Warfield doing the same for the Firefighters.
