Darius L. Earle, 20, homeless Ottawa, was arrested Tuesday morning in the 1100 block of First Avenue on a warrant for failing to appear in court for a battery charge. He was taken to the county jail.

Jacob E. Reimann, 25, Ottawa, was cited Monday at Spring and Guthrie streets on complaints of trespass and possession of open alcohol in public. He was given a court date.

Joann J. States, 26, Ottawa, was cited Tuesday morning in the 500 block of Avon Lane on a complaint of driving while license suspended. She was given a court date.

Fire Calls

Ottawa firefighters responded at 4:44 p.m. Monday to 2801 Champlain St. for smoke coming from a home. They found a pizza had caught fire in an oven.

Wallace Township firefighters responded Saturday morning to a fuel leak from a locomotive on tracks between Champlain and Burlington streets. About 1,500 gallons of fuel had spilled as the locomotive moved along. Ottawa firefighters first responded, but saw the area was outside the city limits and called Wallace.

Streator firefighters responded at 10:05 p.m. Monday to 609 N. Everett St. for a fire alarm, which was set off by burnt food.
