THE BUZZ: Ottawa CVS set to open Sunday

Ottawa's CVS Pharmacy is set to open soon.

The business, located on Norris Drive, posted on its front door that the opening date has been set for Sunday, May 13.

A new building was constructed at the former site of Family Video, near the corner of Columbus Street and Drive. The video store now is located in the plaza adjacent to the North Side Kroger.

juniper & mae in Ottawa closes, Princeton location remains open

The juniper & mae location in Ottawa, 721 La Salle St., has closed. The business announced the closure on Facebook. The Princeton location, 944 N. Main, will remain open.

Threee Little Birds opens new location in La Salle

Threee Little Birds announced a new location at 802 First St. in La Salle.

The business, which offers craft salads and more in mason jars, has another location at 2206 Fourth St. in Peru.

Geno V's to relocate to Utica

Geno V's Restaurant and Lounge recently closed its operations in Dalzell as it prepares to relocate to Utica.

The business said it will be moving to 122 Mill St. in Utica and will update its Facebook page with more information in the future.

Peru Aldi's reopens next week

The Peru Aldi's location at 951 Shooting Park Road will reopen on Friday, May 18.

The business underwent a renovation in April and will feature a new look, expanded fresh section and a new shop layout.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled at 8:25 a.m.

Former Novak Brainard building demolished
The former Novak-Brainard Veterinary building on First Avenue on the South Side of Ottawa was demolished Friday. The vet no longer owns the property. The neighboring Shell gas station purchased the property.

Now Novak Rinker Veterinary Clinic, the vet has a new facility at 1650 First Ave., just south of the OSF health clinic.
