The Seneca Village Board voted in favor of covering the $1,250 tap-on fee for a sewer tie-in for four residences not connected properly to the sewer or on private septic systems.
Three of the addresses on the 100 block of West Union and the 100 block of West Lincoln streets have since been tied into the sewer through a branch line, but a home on the 100 block of West Lincoln Street had not yet hooked on, as of Tuesday night's meeting. That resident will be required to comply in order to receive the fee waiver from the village.
The village discovered the four homes when it was determined a resident on West Union Street was not connected to the sewer but was being charged for it.
