Adrian Conroy, 21, Streator, was arrested at 12:07 p.m. Tuesday at the police station on a Lee County warrant for failing to appear in court on a contempt charge. He posted bond.
William Mehalic, 59, Streator, was arrested after a traffic crash at 4:11 p.m. Tuesday at Shabbona Street and Jessie Avenue, on complaints of DUI and no proof of insurance. Streator firefighters responded to this scene.
Allante Haynes-Hannon, 25, Streator, was arrested at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of East Sumner Street on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of resisting police. She was taken to the La Salle County Jail.
Police responded at 9:46 p.m. Tuesday to the 500 block of East LaRue Street for a report of a burglary in progress. After arriving, police encountered Justin Dobyns, 30, Streator, who matched a description given police. Dobyns refused to identify himself and was cited on a complaint of obstructing police. He was given a court date.
Police received a report at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday a corner of Super Wash, 1735 N. Bloomington St., was hit and damaged the previous night by what appeared to be a vehicle.
La Salle County
Kevin Robertson, 30, Streator, was arrested at noon Tuesday in the 600 block of East Kent Street on a warrant for aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting police and driving while license revoked. He was taken to the county jail, needing $1,000 cash to make bond.
A vehicle driven by Dean Johnson, 92, Sandwich, stopped on East 2351st Road, just south of Sheridan, for a trash can in the road. He was then hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Jacqueline Barr, 46, Sandwich. The drivers were injured.
Ottawa firefighters responded at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday to 1521 La Salle St. for downed power lines.
Ottawa firefighters responded at 8:41 p.m. Tuesday to 1970 N. 2753rd Road for a report of a grass fire. They found no fire.
Streator firefighters responded at 3:12 p.m. Tuesday to 809 Laura Ave. where television cables had come down onto the street.
Streator firefighters responded at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday to 709 Glass St. for a prohibited fire, which the resident then put out.
