La Salle County

Adam Waterworth, 37, Ottawa, was arrested 10:55 a.m. Friday on a La Salle County warrant for residential burglary. Waterworth was taken to La Salle County Jail, needing $3,000 for release on bond.

Haley Frandin, 24, Marseilles, was arrested 1:11 p.m. Friday on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear on a DUI charge. Frandin was taken to La Salle County Jail, needing $500 for release on bond.

Aaron Rodriguez, 24, Westmont, was cited 5:25 a.m. Friday following a single-vehicle crash on North 2350th Road in Brookfield Township on a complaint of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Rodriguez was westbound when he left the roadway and struck a utility pole and a fence. No injuries were reported.

DeKalb County

A 16-year-old Sandwich boy eastbound on Chicago Road at 8:30 a.m. Sunday drove off the road, over corrected, lost control, went into a ditch and overturned west of Sandwich Road, according to police. He was taken to Valley West Hospital by Sandwich Fire/EMS.

Fire calls

At 6:19 p.m. Saturday, Streator firefighters responded to 1111 E. Elm St. to a fence on fire.

Streator firefighters responded 7:50 p.m. Saturday to 213 Ninth St. for an illegal burn. The fire was extinguished.

Streator firefighters responded 2:11 p.m. Sunday to 315 W. Sumner St. for an illegal burn. The owner put out the fire.

At 10:24 a.m. Sunday, Streator firefighters responded to an alarm at 609 N. Everett St. activated by cooking.
