Accepting honors at the OmniArts Award Gala from OmniArts Director Bill Jankowski (right) are retired Ottawa High School educator Bill Myers (left) with Ottawa High School English teacher and theater director Sue Williamson. The gala is an annual celebration of the finest in local music, dance, theater and visual arts for their lifetime achievements. Also recognized were the late Ray MaKeever (former OHS band director), former OHS choral director BJ Muus, Mendota artist Dori Thompson, Peru musician and educator Sue Gillio, Princeton instructor and theater director Dave Roden and La Salle choreographer Vicky Benac. Jankowski said each honoree had at least 15 years of continuous artistic professionalism in Starved Rock Country and were chosen for their individual impacts on their communities.
