OTTAWA — Randall D. Gaffney, 63, of Grand Bay, Ala., formerly of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, April 26, at his home.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
Randy was born Nov. 18, 1954, in Ottawa, to Ed Gaffney and Phyllis (Beam) Morsch.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Randy was an avid Cubs fan. He enjoyed traveling, baseball, NASCAR and flea markets.
He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Reilly; son, Jesiah Cady; and grandson, Jacobie Hester, all of Grand Bay; two brothers, Mike (Toni) Gaffney, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Robert “Bo” Gaffney, of Ottawa; two sisters, Penny (Don) Lieske and Debby (Curtis) Allen, both of Ottawa; an uncle, Clyde (Pat) Gaffney, of Marseilles; many nieces and nephews; and his two best friends, Gwenn Byais Klock and Wayne Klock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Gaffney and Phyllis Morsch; stepfather, Harry Holloway Jr.; and a brother, William “Bill” Gaffney.
